Timber Frame Erection

This is another process that our founders felt needed serious overhaul when they were buying Timber Frames from some of our competitors.

Timber Frame Erection Solo Timber Frame Homes

Normally, Timber Frame manufacturers sub-contract the erection to specialist companies who are used to working on much larger sites with very strict deadlines. Everyone wants to build their house as fast as possible, but we feel it’s worth taking an extra day or so to do the job properly.

Our Timber Frame Erection service is overseen by a directly employed Contracts Manager and his small but perfectly formed team of Frame Erectors. Taking this route ensures that the people doing the work take pride in the job, which in turn will make life much easier for you and your follow on trades.

The Process

Our Timber Frame Erection process has been honed into an efficient, fast but above all high quality service. The Frame is delivered directly from the factory to your site and the erection of the structure commences immediately.

Our Contracts Manager will contact you once you’ve placed your order and arrange to visit you. Following that he will organise the correct delivery vehicles, cranes and draw up a scaffold plan for you to pass to your scaffolders. He will also ensure that you fully understand the build process and your responsibilities for Health & Safety.

Shortly before delivery we’ll visit your site again to ensure that everything is ready and that your foundations have been constructed within tolerances.

We also offer a Site Build Service (known in the US as ‘Stick Build’). This is common on small plots that cannot accommodate the large delivery vehicles and cranes that factory built Timber Frames require. Solo will advise which system is best suited to your plot.
