Competition Winner & Entries – Week Nine

Weeks nine was a week for those with a sweet tooth as we had two cake entries into our Design Your Dream Home Competition. Please keep your entries coming as a winner is announced every Monday until the children return to school. You can find more information here

This week, Saskia is the winner with her sponge cake home. Well done Saskia!

She’s chosen to send her £25 donation to Wigan and Leigh Hospice, a charity that is close to her families heart.

Mum, Kirsty, says Saskia (4) loves cake! So her dream house would be one made entirely of homemade sponge cake and buttercream. We are not sure that it is structurally sound as it was definitely leaning quite a lot, but it tasted delicious! We used icing for the windows, door and flowers in the garden and Saskia built the roof out of chocolate biscuits. We think that 3 jelly teddies would like to live in the house too, so we added these in at the end.

This is 5yo Adam’s entry. If Adam could build his own home, it would be a skyscraper made out of gingerbread Just like the one attached. Adam loves baking and designing houses and he had great fun creating the attached. And even more fun eating it.
